Want to Boost Franchisee Survey Participation Rates? Take a Lesson from Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Charles Watson, CEO of Tropical Smoothie, recorded this entertaining video message inviting franchisees to participate in the Franchise Business Review survey

Every January, Franchise Business Review announces our annual awards recognizing the Top 200 Franchises, based on the results of our independent surveys that measure the satisfaction of thousands of franchise owners across North America. Scores are weighted, meaning we also factor in the size of the franchise system, age of the survey data and the participation rate in order to identify the award winners

Franchisors often ask us how they can encourage their franchisees to participate and boost participation rates. But It’s not just about the awards, more participation means better data that franchise leaders can use to understand how their franchisees are performing, what they feel could be improved, and how the franchisor can better support them.

One of the things we always tell franchisors is to create a video and send it to franchisees letting them know about the survey and encouraging them to take it.

We recently unearthed this 2019 video of Charles Watson, CEO of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and we couldn’t help but share.

Make sure you watch all the way to the end… You definitely won’t want to miss the outtakes!
