Our Story

For over 20 years, Franchise Business Review has been dedicated to providing independent, unbiased franchise industry market research.

Back in 2005, our founder, Eric Stites, noticed that prospective franchise buers were eager for data to guide their decisions. He realized that third-party research on current franchise owners’ satisfaction could illuminate the best opportunities for success and help outstanding franchises grow and the rest, as they say, is history…..

What We Do

Franchising is complex, That's where we come in.

Franchise Business Review gathers actionable insights from your key stakeholders—franchisees, employees, candidates, and customers—and leverages that information to help you build a stronger, more profitable company. For us, driving better results is more than just a tagline; it’s about helping the very best franchise brands achieve greater success.

Learn about what FBR does

"Franchise Business Review has become an integral part of how we lead and grow Payroll Vault. As both a franchisor and a supplier, we rely on FBR’s annual franchisee and employee surveys to give us objective, data-driven insight into where we are strong and where we need to improve."

Tricia Pettys

CEO, Payroll Vault

"It is irresponsible of a franchisor not to have their franchisees evaluate them. If we didn't use Franchise Business Review, our core purpose and mission would all be fluff."

Melanie Bergeron

Chair, Two Men and a Truck

"There is nothing more important that goes out to your franchisees than the FBR survey."

Brian Petranick

CEO, Right At Home

"One of the most effective things we do on an annual basis is to survey the satisfaction of our franchisees using Franchise Business Review. FBR expertly provides the results we need to make a positive impact on our brand."

Ryan Farris

COO/CTO, AlphaGraphics

"The survey has become a tool we cannot imagine being without. Knowledge is power and it is helping us service and support better."
