Why I Keep Coming Back to the FBR Summit – and Why You Should Too

As someone who has spent a lifetime in franchising—as a franchisee, franchisor, board member, consultant, and coach—I’ve been to more than my fair share of franchise industry events. But few stand out quite like the FBR Summit hosted by Franchise Business Review.

I’m excited to say I’ll be returning again this October—not just as a participant, but as a sponsor through my Johnny Franchise brand. It’s an opportunity I genuinely look forward to, because every time I attend, I leave energized, informed, and more connected to the amazing people who make this industry what it is.

A Gathering of People Who Get It

Franchising is a unique business model with equally unique challenges—and rewards. The FBR Summit brings together leaders who get it. These are the people who have rolled up their sleeves to build strong franchise systems, who are navigating growth, who are solving real-world problems and investing in their people.

Whether you’re a founder, executive, or rising star in your franchise brand, you’ll find your tribe at this event. The conversations are honest, collaborative, and focused on meaningful progress—not just buzzwords or theory.

Why I’m Involved—Again

At Johnny Franchise, my mission is to help franchisors build stronger, healthier systems. I do this through one-on-one advisory work, strategic facilitation of franchisee advisory boards, and curated Mastermind groups for franchisor executives.

But more than anything, I show up as a resource—someone who’s been there and can offer perspective. That’s exactly why I keep coming back to the FBR Summit. It’s the perfect place to meet other leaders, hear what they’re wrestling with, and share whatever knowledge or guidance I can offer to move them forward.

If you’re attending this year, please stop me and say hello. Let’s talk about the big picture, the blind spots, the hard lessons learned, or even just compare notes on best practices. I’m here to help.

What I Love Most About This Event

A few things stand out to me about the Franchise Summit:

  • The People: You won’t find a better crowd—smart, approachable, driven people from all corners of franchising.
  • The Programming: Franchise Business Review curates thoughtful sessions that go beyond surface-level. It’s not about selling; it’s about solving.
  • The Vibe: It’s intimate and focused, without the overwhelm of massive conferences. You can actually have quality conversations and leave with real takeaways.

And of course, there’s something special about being in a room where everyone shares a commitment to excellence and a desire to keep getting better—for themselves, their teams, and their franchisees.

Let’s Connect in October

If you’re attending the FBR Summit this year, I encourage you to bring your curiosity, your challenges, and your goals. I’ll be there to listen, to learn, and to lend a hand if I can.

Whether you’re looking to improve franchisee engagement, explore the benefits of an advisory board, or simply want to bounce around some ideas, I’m happy to connect. That’s what makes events like this so valuable—real people, real conversations, real progress.

Thanks to Franchise Business Review for continuing to host such a high-quality franchise industry event. I’m honored to support it and thrilled to be part of the community again this year.

See you in October!
